The Section of Adolescent Medicine, within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital Colorado, is recruiting an academic clinical faculty member.
About Us:
This position will include clinical opportunities in a dynamic Adolescent Medicine Section with a growing diverse clinical practice for adolescents and young adults, providing almost 20,000 visits per year. We provide primary care and a medical home, including comprehensive integrated behavioral health care services, for our patients as well as consultative care for a wide variety of subspecialty adolescent health problems. Additional programs include a robust family planning program with LARC provision, a regional comprehensive care program for gender-diverse and transgender youth, a multi-disciplinary lifestyle medicine program and a national referral center for eating disorder care. The Section also has an inpatient Adolescent Medicine service and faculty share inpatient and on-call coverage. The position also provides opportunities for medical education and teaching with fellows in our accredited adolescent medicine fellowship program, as well as residents and medical students, in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.
Job duties:
Provide direct clinical care to adolescents in the Adolescent Medicine Clinic and the TRUE Center for Gender Diversity.
Function as "Faculty Attending" in the Adolescent Medicine Clinic. When Attending, the provider will work in the clinic to provide care for patients on their panel, same day sick visits for other providers, and manage walk-ins and overbook requests.
Participate in the shared "on-call" rotation with other faculty members, both in Adolescent Medicine Clinic and the TRUE Center.
Protected time will be dedicated to developing academic pursuits based on candidate's interests and Section's needs, e.g. research or education.

Requirements
Minimum requirements:
MD or DO degree
Board Eligible or Certified in Adolescent Medicine.
Minimum of two years of experience in clinical adolescent medicine, with excellent reviews (can include fellowship experience).
Preferred qualifications:
More than three years of experience in clinical adolescent medicine, with excellent reviews (can include fellowship experience).
Two or more years of experience in graduate medical education (can include students, resi
dents, fellows), with excellent reviews.
Exemplary track record in seeing a broad array of clinical problems with demonstrated experience in caring for complex adolescent physical and psychosocial problems.
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
Experience in providing gender affirming care.
